Buford, GA – April 15, 2025 — The Georgia Direct Support Professionals (DSP) Advocacy Council made a significant impact at the 21st Annual SPADD Conference, held April 14–15 at Lanier Islands Legacy Lodge in Buford. This year’s conference, themed “Move Into Your Greatness,” brought together leaders, providers, and advocates from across Georgia’s intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) community. 

The Council, composed of frontline DSPs from across the state, presented a dynamic session highlighting their innovative advocacy efforts and the importance of empowering DSPs to lead systemic change. Their presentation emphasized the Council’s mission to elevate the voices of DSPs in shaping policy and improving support services for individuals with disabilities.​

Attendees praised the Council’s dedication to fostering a professional, well-supported DSP workforce. The Council’s participation underscored the vital role of DSPs in the IDD community and their commitment to advocacy and leadership.​
