Georgia Learning Community Mini-Gathering | June 18, 2025

The Georgia Learning Community Mini-Gathering in Thomasville was buzzing with energy, and the GA DSP Advocacy Council made a strong impression thanks to the passionate representation of Sam Scaggs from Diversified Enterprises.

Sam delivered an inspiring update on the Council’s progress throughout 2025, spotlighting the group’s commitment to elevating the voice of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) across Georgia. He emphasized that membership is free and open to all DSPs, and encouraged attendees to join the movement and become part of a growing coalition.

“We’re ready to build a unified voice for DSPs,” Sam shared. “It starts with connection, shared purpose, and showing up for each other.”

From networking to collaboration, the Council’s presence at the Mini-Gathering underscored its mission: to empower DSPs through advocacy, education, and action. With more gatherings like this on the horizon, the message was clear—the DSP voice is rising, and it’s welcome at every table where decisions are made.
